How to dip the oil - it creeps up the hatching!

The SLX oil is that good it seems to creep up the hatching before I wip it out the tube - it's therefore hard to take a reading. Any tips here please?

Not really, it's very thin and difficult to read. My car takes 5w-30 and I have the same problem.

Just the way it is I'm afraid.
