Pollen Filters

Just where about and just how easy is it to replace the pollen filter.

Pollen filter
It is located underneath the glove box.
If you look at the glove box go to the right and underneath in the trim panel you will see a small plastic panel which should just slide out towards you this panel is very tight but if you can get your finger in the grill you should be able to to wiggle it out.
once the slide has been totally removed the pollen filter is located directly above this piece and this should just pull out.
Make note of the direction of airflow marked on the black body of the pollen filter usually seen as a small black arrow pointing in the direction of inward air flow. don't rotate the pollen filter until you are confident which direction it needs to be fitted back in.
The arrow should be pointing to the centre console area.
Then once new pollen filter is loaded you have to put the slide back in this is hard since the lugs that the slide grips onto are quite tight to slide the slide back onto so this may take a little time.
The job is easy to do but take care of your fingers when doing the job.:);)

I checked that ours had been changed at service and "hard" is an understatement for putting it back together, I had to loosen the trim panel to get it the cover back in.

I think it is made by Bosch so any good auto factors should be able to get one for you.

probably from vag parts!!or Germam ,Swedish and french car parts which is where i got my last pollen filter from.
The pollen filter looks exactly the same as my Vw/ seat pollen filter.
So maybe try Vw or Seat parts.
And yes it is hard but i did,nt have to loosen the trim so maybe some units are tighter than others.
But if you can do it yourself then it will be cheaper than getting Audi to do it unless it can be carried out under warranty.??
