Washer filler cap?

Got my A2 yesterday. Had a look behind the service flap and noticed the washer reservoir has no cap - just a filter at the top of the opening?
As an A2 virgin, is this normal?

Yep, thats fine. It just pulls out, you fill it and push it back.
I think it has a basic seal when it is pushed back into place after filling.

And do try to calcualte how much water you will need in your washer bottle per trip-you know it makes sense.
