Did you see the announcement that VAG are recalling 70,000 diesel cars becuase of a potential pump problem

Affects 1.4 and 1.9 cars and those made between March and August 2004

Will of course apply to the A2 1.4 TDi

One of 2004's biggest car recalls has been launched. Around 70,000 diesels are affected after a fault was found on fuel pump bolts that may cause fuel leaks.

The problem affects 1.4 and 1.9-litre engines in Volkwagens, Audis, SEATs and Skodas. Only cars built between March and Aug-ust 2004 are involved. The Golf accounts for 20,000 of the recalled motors.

I made an appointment for today for the recall parts to be replaced. After the dealer had my car for 3 hours I returned to be told they didn't have the parts in to complete the recall. How dumb is that, if they didn't have the parts why waste my time by asking me to bring in my car. Stratford Audi, you've let me down!
