Alloy Wheels

Has anybody any ideas about the accidental chipping of the alloy wheels. Is there any form of protection against kerb-crawling[27]and if pieces are chipped is the best after-protection a coat of varnish.

Certain makes and type of tyres have walls which sit proud of the wheels and offer some protection. Just be wary if you use some types of alloy wheel cleaner on a chipped wheel-it can cause even more problems.

I think this subject has been covered before, probably in the tyre section of the fourm. Have you tried a forum search (ensure you check the 'archived post' box when searching)?
