View Full Version : Wave!
This is just to reiterate Chris's campaign for all fellow A2 drivers to wave at each other.
How about we spruce it up a bit so that we can recognise the A2 forum folk. A special tribal wave. Here are some suggestions:
- A solidarity fist, palm side out;
- A vulcan greeting - left and right pairs of fingers together, parted in the middle (actually quite difficult to do - and could cause accidents);
- Thumb and forefinger pressed together, other fingers inline with forefinger (in the shape of an A);
- A churchill style V for victory affair;
- or, my favourite, a simple point - forefinger doing the pointing, other fingers clenched, thumb pointing upwards perpendicular to the forefinger (keeping the 2 digit theme going). This one can be done with the other 3 fingers still grasping the steering wheel - so has the benefit of being the safest.
Ben waves again - then points.

Ooooh, does this mean that my post is deleted? Bah Humbug [29]
Anyway, I'm all for a 'normal' wave, the 'V' or thumbs up; if we start pointing we may give those who don't yet know an inferiority complex! I tried the 'A' thing and it didn't work, so I must be a little bit thick.
Just seen my post has been moved to where it 'ought to be[13]
Some smart owners 'wave' windscreen wipers; perhaps with the A2 this might be a good idea as we do have the most pornographic (good) windscreen wiper in the history of the automobile!

I like the windscreen wiper idea. Although non-followers will think we're just clumsy!

Kind of a secret handshake ?
I get it.
I may rig my "top up cover" at the front to open and
close a bit like a fish opening its mouth.[31]
Although this may scare small children.

I can second that, in the Fareham area I have had a silver A2 flash at me and then the same day a Red 04 A2 wave to me.
So now everytime I see one I try and remember to wave or a quick flash of the lights.
This brings back memories when I owned a VW beetle and we used to acknowledge each other with a wave.
Keep it up and a simple wave to show that you have bought the best car on the road.

What if the other A2 driver you are waving at is an attrative blonde. Do you think the wife would approve? Or what about the bloke built like a brick sh*t house sat next to the attractive blonde who rather than wave at you, wants to shake you by the throat?
In the words of Hill Street Blue's - Let's be careful out there !
A2 Gone but not forgotten !!!!!!!
I flashed at a bloke in a Silver SE on the A600 from Bedford to Hitchin tonight. He looked at me in a most shocked manner!
I then flashed at a lady in a Dolphin Grey SE shortly after (same road) and she looked at me like I had just deficated on her children...
I didn't see the 'usual' in his mid-metallic (azure?) blue SE until it was too late to flash.
Feeling quite dejected, but I shall not give up. [37][29]
I might have to arrange a 'drive-by' with my cousin and wave at her while she drives her Sport (90) [24]

Shame on you Hey just wondered are we waving at the person
or at the beautiful bit of machinery on the road LOL !!!http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b359/gpcracer/A2avatar.jpg
Waving at the person for their incisive purchasing skills.
My car waves at the others all on it's own, and the other cars wave back. Even if the owners don't wave.[13]
