Listening to Radio 2 today, hey don't laugh, it's very informative! Anyway, Jeremy Vine was doing a piece about bumpers and car repairs, etc and an A2 driver made a comment!!!

Her name was Lucy and was talking about a minor bump being a very expensive repair, so.......

WAS IT YOU?

Ditto... It's on all day at work in the workshops & control rooms. Plus at weekends, it's quite entertaining with Jonathon Ross on Sat morning.

Anyway, back on topic (otherwise all these new mods will be telling me off [21]), I have a friend Lucy who drives an A2 but I don't think they've had any bumps in it yet. I'll ask....

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a Merlot Red 1.4SE petrol originally.
Now an Ebony Black 1.4SE petrol with Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.

Hi all

Her name was Katy (not Lucy), that's my other half, she nudged into someone at under 10mph, the result £1507.

New bumper, reinfor bar, paint, wing, more paint, re-gas the climate, as it has to come off to do the repair.... oh and a headlamp (even though it's not broken!... brackets etc)

I'll post a pick, the damage is not much!

:(

PS there's n'wt wrong with Radio 2!

Reminds me of when someone ran into the back of a Cavalier hire car I was driving - from 20ft you could not see any damage but the bill was £800.

On the subject of bumpers these are repairable if the damage is not too severe but Audi probably won't admit it. The advice is to collect any froagments from the scene so they can be "welded" back together. My sister had her Mondeo done about four years ago and my Passat was repaired about 2 years ago.

1.4 Petrol Special Edition, Ebony Black, grey leather, heated seats, climate, opensky, five spoke alloys for SWMBO (Replaced a 2002 1.4 Petrol SE) Honda Accord Tourer 2.2 iCDTi for me.

This article supports Katy's findings:

I've seen the crush-cans on the A2 and they do look less than substantial to say the least.

2004 1.4 TDi (90) SE, Cobalt Blue, Climate control, Cruise control, DIS, Sport seats, Winter pack, Symphony II. (now sold)
