closed threads

If you access a closed thread, and that refers you to another place, you come to a dead end. For example horns, fitting a better one, I know there was chapter and verse on this but it now seems inaccessible, how do I get it?. This problem does not refer only to this topic.

Is this what you were referring to?

As a general point - it is possible that people have referred to posts using the old system link name (e.g. http://www.a2forum.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4164). If this is a problem, I could write a script that searches all posts for such links - and replace them with updated links that work in the new site.

The post you refer to in respect of upgrading the A2 horn was posted by Bill Tait. I remember printing off a copy. I've still got it at home somewhere so I can post it again if need be.
