Rear seats fold out.

Hi!

I have the grey Sinus upholstry and I´ve ordered the black one. OK so far: But how do I get the rear seats to fold out when outside A2? They are forced together like a big laptop when one loosen the lock at the rear.
I think I have an idea: plasing 2 steel-pipes 4cm long and a diam. to just fit the bolts, then place the seat with these pipes pressing the spring around the bolts into seat. Then press seat down and the seat will hopefully "think" it´s in the car and then fold up and "open"? Have anybody tried this or is there an other solution? Anyway it´s a job for a pro.upholstry expert I think.

Hmmm interesting conundrum! I have no idea how to open these seats outside the car. Only a specialist or Audi would know I suspect. Just go to your dealer and ask them. They always helped me for free with queries like this one...

You're on the right lines, or you could use a set of mole grips or other locking pliers - basically, you have to squeeze in the tabs on the locating pegs on the seat base to enable the seats to open.

Getting them back closed could be a pain though.......
