Probably the best looking A2 is available !?

Please check out the pictures in Sept 02 section of the owners photo's.

It comes with original six spoke alloys which have nearly new tyres on them.

All the stereo equipment is also included :D, which is amazing in all areas.

It is a 2001 "51" reg, now done 15,000 miles and it basically very nice condition.

Please e-mail me on pauljuliany2k@hotmail.com, it will be gone soon.

This car to build now would cost new nearly £21,500 so make a decent offer please.

not to sound harsh but thats £6k on top of OTR price for basically, some subs, amps and a not to brilliant stereo (comparing it to higher end models of that make), to me it does not seem worth £21K+ just to give u a lil nicer music, might as well pay the couple grand audi ask for the bose system and a sat nav plus and the car instanlty becoems mroe appealling than yours, for £18k give or take £1k brand new, plus u also get choice of several colours free, throw in another £400+ and u get some sweet 17in wheels in the deal, i dont see u getting to much for that car, possibly £12k at a push saying everything in it is brand new, i have seen in audi used cars an A2 with open sky, bose system, ECC, 1.4SE, full elecs for £10k u have to compete with that, plus u are not a dealer so u will find it harder to demand a higher price.

1.4SE petrol 2001, Dark interior, Sat cloth, Brilliant Silver, 3 spoke Steering wheel, Rear electric windows and Panasonic MR555 stereo, Panasonic 8CD changer, 10 speakers (2 extra 13" 190 watt each.)

Stuart!

I've just purchased a Mercedes CLK AMG, Will post photos soon.

The problem is that as a high level competition Archer I need to carry huge amounts of equipment and the A2 is a little small now.

In response to your comments, basic price of the TDI SE is as follows:

Prices quoted from Audi UK website.

1.4 TDI SE 75 bhp 5 speed £ 14,000.00
Crystal Blue, metallic £ 475.00
Open-Sky© system £ 765.00
Electronic climate control £ 800.00
Electric rear windows £ 205.00
Rear bench seat £ 198.00

TOTAL : £17068 OTR.

Add H&R suspension & Fitting £200.

Wheels & Tyres £900.

Add Stereo / Alpine 7893R, Nearly the same frequency and clarity as the F1 status units which surpasses all other makes in many tests.

4 days of installation by 2 top audio car installers using £400 + of cables etc means the stereo sounds far better than any Audi offering, and I'm quite happy to meet anyone who differs to prove it.

As standard the front doors on any A2 are appalling, these require huge amount of soundproofing to become anywhere near right. The rear of the car isn't much better and also need sorting over standard.

So add another £3000 + for a decent system, Not Bose or Kenwood etc.

Its all a preference of taste, until you have heard a car fitted with real quality competition winning equipment you have no idea what is available on the market.

Please don’t think that chucking hundred of speakers in a car will automatically make it sound better, it won’t.

Some of the best systems on the competition market are either components front end with subs in the rear, and the odd occasion components will be run in the rear for shows etc.

Well, this will certainly make a super secondhand buy for someone else, but having witnessed dealers in the past offering around £8000 for a low mileage 2001 model I tend to believe that poor Paul is about to receive a kick in the guts – principally because extras on a car only ever add a very small percentage to the secondhand value. Indeed recently I noted 2 cars in a dealers showroom, and both had identical prices in spite of one car having an all sky roof. Clearly then in this example the glass roof had not increased its secondhand value by even one cent.

I remember once looking at a secondhand BMW 535 (for £15,000) which had £6,000 worth of factory fitted extras – yet the asking price for the car was only around £500/£1000 more than other cars with no fitted extras. For sure lots of fitted extras make any car desirable to the point of achieving a quick sale, but the poor individual who paid for them in the beginning might in many ways have poured their money down the nearest drain.

John,

Its a 2000 X, CLK AMG55, Silver and black hide. Spec is very high.

It was offered to me via a Trade deal so a bargain indeed.

Traders have offered me anything between £8000 - £11000 in standard spec. So Wheels & Stereo would be removed.

Locally 2 Open-sky A2's have just sold via a Audi franchise, leaving the dealer with only normal units, when questioned he let slip that Open-sky was in favour and far easier to sell. However he did only offer £10000 for mine :-(.

Both of these had come in stock and sold within a week, both 2002 @ £14995 1.4 TDI SE, one Black (14k) and the other Silver (6k), neither had climate.

So my boss who also Owns a Prestige car dealers is quite happy to put it on his forecourt for £13995 and see who bites !!

It's all a bit of a trauma !!

Just quickly, your car is not brand new its a 2001 model therefore you wont be looking at more than £11k for it at TDI including the met paint and ECC (which by the way are only £250 as part of an audi deal) these dont add to the value of a second hand car, next your sound system as JDi explained is not gonna add to the value what so ever, i asked the dealer if stereos matter or equiptment as such (non-audi) and he said might as well take it outta the car as it adds didly to the price, again the mods u done to the car wont fetch any more than 500 extra thats providing the wheels has zero curbing, I know this is sounding very daunting but u cant really look for more than £11.5k for the car possiblly £12k i was being optomistic before (didnt check prices fully before or enquire). Your best bet would be to try your bosses lot, however due to the poor second hand shiftability of our cars, you will be lucky to get a bite at anything post £12k (remember your bosses lot is not Audi so i doubt he will valet and check that all trims are secure, get rid of scratches, refurb wheels if needed and if unreferbable replace, replace any faulty bits found before selling) it will probably be sold as seen, and many peeps try to stay away from that especially when buying at that rpice range (remember most families by that as a family car and have no second car) so basically its like going down the great trade centre.

I'd have to agree that wheels and stereo equipment won't add hardly anymore money to the value of a 2nd hand car. Best bet take all ur extras off and sell seperately.
