Hi everyone, I needed an fuel efficient car to do 30-40k a year in and came back from a dealers yesterday with an 02 SE Tdi, I was astounded by the test drive which was 5 up with a burly sales guy + me and the SO + 2 kids, having been driving an Passat S 130 estate  for the last year the A2 really felt good to drive and fairly quick. Once I realised the spec the car had I couldn't say no!!
Welcome!
Very nice. I like the colour and I'm impressed you got some nice goodies on it too. I'm not sure this is Crystal blue, but I can't remember the name of it (begins with 'A' I think). I thought crystal was the silver with a hint of blue in it.
Blue leather sounds cool, do you have any piccies of the interior?
If you need any help or advice then just ask, everyone on here is friendly. As for the cruise, that can be done quite easily as an aftermarket add-on (all the gubbings are there for it). Skipton is your man to explain how to do it.

Hi ULP, I'll check the colour and take some photos when I pick it up tomorrow afternoon, the blue leather is a little strange!
I'm hoping as it was registered in Aug 02 that it has the 42litre tank as that will make a lot of difference to the amount of time I spend filling it up!
I guess the cruise is the same as the Sharan and Golf I've had fitted previously, change the stalk, plug it in, run a wire from the fuses to the ECU and tell the car it's there, the Sharan cost me £250 to have it fitted, the Golf £150 as the extra wire is already there. I think I'll get someone to do it for me as the SO objects to me dismantling things! You should have seen her face when I stripped the Wrangler suspension down to fit the lift kit!!

Our friend Mike - aka Skipton01 - fits cruise controls for fellow A2OC members. See the For Sale section.
I can confirm that your pics are not Crystal Blue - as our car is Crystal Blue and is lighter than that. Is it Ayoka?

You won't be disapointed, I do around 26-30k per year, and mines' still going strong 94k!
Niggle about the electrical switches for the windows, (which is intermittant), had a sump gasket replaced, and a glove box! (as the light stopped working), other than that no real problems...
...A brilliant motor!

I've had it 24 hours now and I love it! Only problem is so does my wife, she's pinched it today whilst I'm at work in my skanky old Passat!
