New member here, some help to the following if you can please. When the A2 was facelifted (in '03?) were there any changes to the suspension to ease the ride? Also how do owners of TDI 90 Sport's find the ride (non motorway) on 17" wheels and low profile tyres? Are sport seats much better than standard chairs? Does anyone know of any new unregistered TDI 90's still for sale? Any help with these queries would be appreciated, thanks, Paul.

I believe I bought the last available TDi 90 Sport. I'd spent quite a long time trying to track one down. Reading Audi did have a TDi 90 demonstartor in blue a little while ago.

I doubt you will find an unregestered TDI 90 anywhere as they haven't been produced for almost 12 months now (same with the FSI). There are a few used ones around, mind, on '05' plates but even these are rare.

Hi Honestpaul,

I bought one of the first Sports, in fact the dealer didn't even have one as a demo as they were so new, so I ordered it without a test drive! Head over heart... The ride is different to the SE on local roads, hit a pot hole and you know about it. On the motorway you wouldn't know any difference. It does stick to the road like glue, luckily for me on some occasions!!

If I were you I would have the sports seats, tried both types and found the standard ones very flat with little support.
The sport pre 03 is okay if you fit 45 profile tyres as I have just done, still firm ride but no where near as crashing
