gear ratios for FSi

Hi gang,

Quick question as I'm mulling over a change of car (to another A2!).

Is there any difference in the gear ratios between an SE and a Sport with the FSi motor? I guessing not, but if anyone can give the definitive answer, I'd be grateful.

In fact are there any mechanical differences at all, other than suspension?

Definitive answer - NO!

The SE and Sport models differ only in the trim and wheel/suspension packages.

Basically, this boils down to SE having fogs, illuminated mirrors, false floor, leather controls and 16inch wheels with standard suspension.

The sport forgoes the above in favour of DIS and 17inch wheels with sports suspension.

There are other minor differences, but nothing at all mechanical or engine-wise.

Cool, cheers Mike, as I suspected.

I think the one I'm looking at has sold so not changing soon. Mine will be for sale if I find the right car to replace it, although not quite yet of course! Keeping my eyes peeled :)
