have all A2's got a boot light?

This may seem a really daft question but i cant find the boot light on my 2001 TDI SE!

surely this was not an option?

if it was how easy is it to fit?

Sounds like your bulb's gone.

The boot light is on the nearside (UK cars) just under the lip where the (optional) load cover fits in.

To my knowledge, it was never an optional extra.

Hi tourangang
If it's not the bulb, the switch is known to give problems. Mine is still working fine after lubricating the internals (about 6 months ago)

Found it! - its those dark nights coming in.

I have removed it but the bulb looks very odd - not the sort of thing you can change yourself or buy in halfords.

any help greatfully recieved.
