Ipod adapter

I'm about to fit the Audi Ipod adapter to my symphony 2 but I'm confused which of the two supplied connectors to use.

Can anyone advise me which connector I should fit, the I harness or the Quadlock.:p

Hi there,

It's possible that Dension have changed the connectors on recent kits - my kit has a pair of bright red 'pass-thru' connectors that connect onto the largest of the 3 standard connectors. See page 7 of the fitting guide for illustrations:

Probably let my local Audi dealer fit it as I need them to replace the indicator relay. I tried but couldn't find the darn thing! Also damaged my ashtray in the process.

Steve, Less haste - the manuals are winging their way to you.

If you've managed to get the stowage tray out from the dash, you're more than halfway there.

Alternatively, I will be in Brum at the NEC on Wednesday if you want to meet up for me to do it.

My car does not have the storage tray. The Climate pack is just above the ashtray and the fat symphony 2 at the top. Does this make it any harder?

If I can get Wednesday off I might take you up on your kind offer.

Hi Steve,

The fact that you've got a Symphony makes it a lot easier to change the flasher relay.

I presume you have a genuine replacement one ready? If so, just whip out the stereo and the relay is nestling behind the climate panel.
