Hi all

I started my A2 Tdi up on Saturday morning, having not run the car for a week.
When I started the car, it ran normally for a second or so, and then for about three seconds it ran as though it was running on two cylinders- quite roughly, and then rectified itself. After reversing out of the garage, it did the same for a couple of seconds when idling. No warning lights came on. Since then, it's been fine, and we have been on a couple of reasonable trips out.

The car always starts ok, with a characteristic dip in the revs for the first second or so, just as my previous Lupo TDi did. I wondered if this is because the car hasn't run for a while. Occasionally I can go a fortnight without driving it- we often use the bus or my g/f's car. any suggestions?

Cheers,

James.

I can do a diagnostic scan for you if you wish - I'm just over the hill in Mossley.

Cheers,

Mike
