In the interests of maintaining the ability to walk upright without the use of a zimmerframe that and the future purchase of a hound!
(thank you Tameside MBC & Greater Manchester Highways) I have sadly decided the A2 (eggbert) is to make way for a more comfortable mode of transport, it is a fully loaded ex Bentley Motors' car and has all the nice toys, ie, climate, leather & alcantra seats with electric lumbar adjustment, factory cruise (not that there is owt wrong with Skiptons excellent work), all round 'leccy windows, full mud flaps, front foggies, symphony II with BOSE, pearlesant paint finish, a quite fetching light blue (azurblau as the germans call it!) I will throw in full set of mats and the rear cup holder / storage unit and a set of Skiptons workshop manual discs if I get a good enough offer, not looking for silly money, just serious offers, basically if I get a good part ex offer and you match it the car's yours.
It currently has 46k on the clock and I am getting between 55 & 60mpg round town, I had it chipped back in june to 101bhp and can have that removed if so required. I bought it from a main agent with a 3 for 2 service deal of which I have used only 2, sadly the deal isn't transferable but if you so wish I can arrange the service at the dealership for you at no charge, I reckon they will be none the wiser if I take it in and they are not reading this oops!
the 17" alloys are currently being refurbished and wear almost new 205 45 17 bridgestone RE040's, I also have a set of 16" A3SE alloys which it's wearing at the moment, these have 205 50 16 Vredesteine sportrac 2's on again almost new.
I will be removing the bluetooth and sony HD5 kit for use on the new motor, if anyones interested I would make myself available for Skiptons little excursion this weekend fo viewing, please PM me accordingly.

I may be relinquishing the motor but intend keeping a healthy interest in the forum, if eggbert is sold to a fellow A2OC member then it's only right the co-ownership goes with him!

Hi tdiman
In addition to being one of the 'saviours' of the A2oc, 223 posts shows you have also been a valuable and very active club member. There is nothing in our rules (because we don't have any) which says you need to run an A2 to be a co- owner so why not hold onto your title for a while longer, just in case you get withdrawl symptoms and return to the fold.
Cheers Spike

You need to wait in til late 2008 for the New A2. God why are Audi so tardy in their development of the replacement in a world crying out for low consumption, quality vehicles?

Cheers for that Spike, I do intend keeping up the interest, I've still a lot of info I have found out about the A2, most of which Skipton will know about any, I'll probably keep hold of my portion of ownership for the time being, as you said I may regret changing and want another one, a lot of members have changed and got themselves another A2, next time though not a bl**ding sport, big mistake, ideal spec would be what I had but with the SE suspension setup!

Thanks for the compliment Mike - I don't know everything though and it's only by virtue of our pooled knowledge and experience that A2OC has become the valuable resource that it is.
I will be sorry to see you leaving the ranks of A2 ownership. We didn't meet that often, to say that we only live a few miles from each other, but I always kept an eye open for you.
Take care and hopefully it won't be too long before you get the urge to own and drive the unique car that is the A2.
Cheers,
Mike

On good roads it's really quite okay, it's just I spend most of my time on suburban roads which round here are dreadful, if you do a lot of Mway or fast A road driving it'll be fine.

Just to let any interested parties know 'eggbert' now has 12 months MOT and has just had a service, shouldn't need a service for around 20k miles, also has road fund license until the end of July 2007, so worry free motoring for nearly 8 months, I'll be part exchanging at the weekend with a view to changing the following weekend, so if you are interested it's time to get your skates on.

Cheers Mike, as a co-owner I intend to continue my interest and pass on any help I can to people.
By the way I was looking on the Audifans.net site tonight and they are group buying HID's for £110 all in delivered with a 2 year guarantee on units & lamps, anybody thought of trying to maybe link in A2OC.net?
I'll be in touch re the upgrades we discussed, thanks for the offer of the wheel but I'm getting a B6 avant not B7, (wish I could justify spending that sort of money!)
