Thinking I might offer to part-ex the bench seat in the Sport I just bought for two individual seats - if anyone is interested.
The bench seat was a £200 ish option and allows you to seat 5 in the car (3 rear seat belts). Would be of interest to someone who does not want to remove the seat much (bench seats are heavy!) but wants to seat 5.
My Bench Seat is in good condition with little sign of wear and I would be looking for individual seats in similar condition.
Trim is the light grey cloth on the Sport models.
PM me if anyone is interested.

Sorry, I'm not looking to buy your seat, I was just wondering how you remove the whole back seat.
I've got a bench seat and I'm blowed if I can get it away from it's front hinge points.
Good luck with your sale though.

Assuming you have the whole thing tilted forward - just pull it back. (Then get a strong neighbour to lift it out of the car with you!!)

Unfortunately, the bench seat will not fit into a standard 4-seat A2, without modification of the floor, as the mounting points used are different - sorry!

Which mounting points Mike - rear?
Which mounting points Mike - rear?
I'm sure the front are - I think the 50/50 split has two mounting points for each seat with the bench requiring only two in total.
I don't believe you can interchange them

Thanks for the comments.
Looks like I would have to buy a couple of front fixing brackets/bolts and re-position the rears.
It can't be too difficult - but better consider this thread closed until I take a proper look at it.

Having looked at the parts involved, there doesn't appear to be any special floor-pan, exclusive to the bench seat model, so adaptation could well work.
Cheers,

Has anyone retro fitted the split seats in place of the bench seat? I would like to do that, as I don't need three seat belts in the back.
