Today I saw something I had never seen before, a display with an upside down triangle and an exclamation mark. It happened just as I ran over my neighbours extension lead (he was charging his battery). I thought that Audi had thought of everything, and had a fault alarm for running over the neighbours extension lead. Sadly a look in the book revealed that there was a fault with the power steering, but I don't think there is, hopefully just another glitch.

Hope it's not a sign of things to come - my power steering saga started a little like this, then 4 months later, it went!

If it does go, let me know and hopefully it'll be the same problem I had, which should be easy to sort out, even though it took Mr Audi 4 attempts!!!!

Have a good Xmas Dick, hope you have a safe and happy time.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks Mike, I'll keep a close eye on it. I hope it does not turn out to be a problem because my capacity for coping with and sorting problems is diminishing. Thanks for the good wishes, as you know the Government has decided it can longer afford to keep me alive, I have my MP on the job she is very good but her reply was not too encouraging. It was ...sort of ......"this Government is only interested in all PCTs eliminating their deficit this financial year and are robbing the budgets of financially good PCTs such as ours to bail out poorly performing ones". Strangely I get little comfort from that. Bone scan on Wednesday to see if the bone cancer has got any worse.

I supported Labour all my life, but now it's "no way Jose". Sorry about the moan at Christmas.

Dick, they're all as bad as each other now, and the country is being run by accountants, only concerned with a total at the bottom of a balance sheet.

If the steering does go, I will help you out mate, that's a promise - but fingers crossed.

Also, best of luck for Wednesday, Angie and I will be thinking of you.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks Mike, it was OK today, but I always drive in my brown trousers now, you never know.
This expression, well known to ex Royal Navy people refers entering areas of danger. For instance just before starting a minesweeping run the skipper would put on his brown trousers and tell the bos'ns mate to pipe "out sweeps, hands to clean into brown trousers". "To clean into" being Navalese for change into.
