hi,

just attempted to change a headlight bulb and gave up, moved the wire that holds the plastic casing in place at the rear of the lights but only the half closest to the engine will lift off. how do i get this plastic casing off so i can get to the bulbs?
handbook is no use as it just tells you to take it to those thieving useless lying audi scum dealerships.
help!!

The easiest and quickest way is to remove the headlight from the car.

There's only 2 screws (torx ones) to take out and it make s the job a whole lot easier.

I believe there's a fitting guide on this site too.

Had one headlamp bulb replaced yesterday. Let the dealer take the strain, £9.03 inc vat, fitting and bulb. Bradford Audi.

Hi Don,

Having replaced all the bulbs in my headlight unit, I can vouch as Mike says, that the easiest way to gain access is to remove the entire headlight unit itself.
