mate not much the A2 has a starange offsett so ive been told. So this means not much fits .

OE Tyre: 145/80R14
OE Rim: 4.5 x 14
OE Offset: 38

if u logg in to http://www.rimstock.co.uk/rimstockuk/fitmentmakesearch.php
u will be able to cross referece the sizes and find out from what car u can get a wheel from.
Hope that helps

Geordie the A2 isn'tthat strange, and I don't know where you get those sizes from - the only wheels they refer to are the special 'winter' wheels/tyres.

The standard 15" wheels are not that unusual at 5.5J X 15" ET34 so most 'standard' Golf or old style A3 wheels at 6J X 15" ET38 will do the job as temporary spares.

Cheers,

Mike

What other standard wheel/tyre size could use use as a spacesaver for the SE 16in wheels?

Just use the same 15" wheel but with a larger tyre on - it'll save cash and be just as effective.

Mike

Hi all, the wheels I have came off a2 audi, they are 7 spoke, 5 stud, 15" alloys.
I bought a set of 4 in order to have 1 spare (in case any of mine buckle etc ) hence the other 3 wheels are surplus to requirements. The following is the spec stamped on each inner centre flange of each alloy: 51/2J x15 h2 ET 34, other info is AS 10 62, 8ZO 601 025 plus AUDI ring logo stamp. As previously mentioned the lacquer is peeling on wheels(can be refurbished for around £40.00 per wheel ) but as spare/emergency does it matter?? finally the tyres on wheels are dunlop sp sport 200e 175/60 r15, they are worn but still road legal, you can e/mail me or PM, hope this info helps thanks, Alan.
PS, I think the ET 34 ref is the offset!.

Knocker - worry ye not!!

I was initially thrown by the 3 x 15" description, but these wheels are the original standard A2 wheels. Buy with confidence that they'll do the job of spare admirably!

Mike

All - I was similarly confused with all the acronyms used for wheels and tyres (PCD, h2, et38, 6J etc) and as such I trawled to find info which would help me understand if I could use a different wheel and tyre which would fit in the boot (I have the OE alloy which does not fit in the boot, sods law, had a puncture 60 miles from home, alloy in my garage, no space saver! audi want my arm and half my leg as usual for the OE space saver)

this site http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html#sizes is just excellent for info, piles and piles of stuff including a tyre and wheel size calculator to check rolling radius amongst other things.

I now feel I can go on mastermind with a specialist subject 'tyre anorakory'.

just thought I would offer it up for info.

ps an A2OC member has just sold me a brand new space saver for £100
Thanks A2OC
