Thought this may prove useful for others.

I've just had my 4th variable service and 2nd cambelt change at 120,000 miles.
Since I've had the car from new 02 reg, it generally shows between 30-32k on variable service.

I had a recommended chap service it, he specialises in German cars. I bought my own bits and oil.

Antifreeze x 2 =£7
Pollen Filter £8.14
Air filter £7.35
Alternator Belt £8.94
Cambelt & tensioner kit £60
Wiper blade £11.02
Water pump £20.70
Tensioner (think this was for alternator, as at idle car was starting to squeal & sqeak) £42.60
Oil filter £4.86
All these prices +VAT

Oil £42.99 inc vat

Cost to service and fit everything £220.

Car feels as good as new again. :-)

I'm coming up to my 2nd VSI so that list is pretty much what I need too. Where did you source most of the parts?

europarts did some, some the dealer and neepsend motor factors all in sheffield.

The cambelt is a powergrip kit which is a belt made by gaites or something, a good friend told me this is the original spec of the belt, I must say it's built like a brick shi*house!, if you haven't seen a diesel cambelt (I hadn't before yesterday) it's around 45mm think, very heavy duty!
