I am trying to find details of where these were fitted to the rear side doors of the A2 s-line?
Does anyone here have the measurements of where they exactly go on the door mouldings. I dont fancy putting them in the wrong place and it looking all a bit Pete Tong! :D

Or convince me not to fit them! it is a Sport model after all!

Hi manhattan$,

Take a look at the link below, which will give you a good indication as to were to fit them.

http://www.audiworld.com/news/02/s_line/content.shtml

As for fitting S-Line badges to a 'sport' model, I can't very well argue against it, as I have them fitted to my 'special edition' model.

Cheers,

Darren

As Audi never brought the S-Line to the UK, then it can't be seen as 'wrong' to put the badges on an A2. As UK spec S-Line Audi's are just Sports with different trim (invarioubly bigger wheels and some other fripparies) then it doesn't really compare to European spec cars which tend to be more 'honed'.

A chap I know had great fun blowing an A4 S-Line 2.0TDI into the distance the other day - well, if you owned a 2 week old RS4 and the paperclip salesman was all over your boot, wouldn't you let him know the difference... :D

My A2 says s-line in the front and the back. The guy that sold it to me said it was a genuine s-line. The sale papers, and the service papers all say s-line. But .. the codes in the book tell me otherwise. Black headlining, perforated leather gear knob and "quattro sportfahrwerke", thats what I'm missing.

I'm moving my badges to the back doors, where they are supposed to be, because my papers tell me .. s-line ;-)

(btw. Anyone know where I can get that perforated leather gearknob?)

Found a better pictures I think, see attachments.

Do you have the different coloured instruments too Cahl?

The gearknob can be sourced from Vagparts, who give a discount to members of the A2OC as well.

Cheers,

Mike

That's exactly where I fitted mine, I'm still at odds as whether I should re-badge the rear though. At the moment it looks a bit cluttered with the four rings, A2, 1.4TDI and my Nurburgring sticker! Does the continental s-line have a genuine rear badge fitted?

Hmm .. guess not. Does the s-line have different colored instruments? Didn't know that.

See attachments as to where I have the s-line badges atm.
Going to take them off. Place them at the rear doors, and put the S from the S4 badge at the boot instead.
