Hi guys,

May be selling my A2 I'm afraid. I've had major back problems and to cut a long story short, I'm possibly changing for an automatic something (no, not the 1.2 TDi!).

Mine has now covered 44,600 miles, very good order throughout, and no known faults, other than I was not able to remove the radio. Oh, and there's a pin-prick dent in the roof. Very small, always been there during my ownership.

It's 2002/02, full Audi history, last serviced at 34,000 miles. Can't remember what the display is showing to the next service. I'll have a look tonight.

Would it make £6,500 or is that optimistic?

Cheers for now. :)

sounds about right. Maybe £6000 would shift it quicker, but not less.

Would probably be £8k at an Audi dealer so might fetch a bit more, I read a post on here saying that Vauxhall have got a free link to a valuation site that normally costs £5/£10 - go to vauxhall.co.uk and I think you click a link that says calculate trade in price or whatever. Thats really vague I know but it gives you a more accurate idea of value than those rubbish Parkers Guides.

There are hardly any at audi dealers (at least in Yorkshire), they have disowned them!
When I was looking for mine, 03 FSI SE's were up for £7995 in car supermarkets, and they were selling. Yours is a year older (ish) and has 15k more miles than that. So £6000 to £7000 is about right.

Toby,

Be brave - my A2 1.2 TDI tiptronic now at 41000 miles, first reg new UK Sept 2005 and absolutely no regrets.

Change from my A2 1.4 TDI SE (fully loaded) manual due imposed need for auto. Hidden benefits of lhd auto include:
getting in and out of car directly onto UK pavement
speed checking effect on other drivers heading towards a car apparently being steered by newspaper reading 'driver' in o/side pax seat (crossword filling wife)

Yes, 1.2 TDI has slightly slower accell'n when in 'normal' mode. Its more so in 'economy' mode - but returns silly mpg to compensate (average 87 mpg from new!)

Also, due lowest UK internal combustion engined car emissions (86gm/km) -

£0 (ZERO) RFL.

I feel very green and 'righteous' next to Chelsea tractors - incl Q7s.

If you want to try mine, send pm and I'll see if we can meet up.

Ciao,

Erling
