Does anyone have any idea what the yellow symbol in the DIS that looks a bit like this (0) means?
I have also plugged it into my basic version of VAG-COM and it comes up with;
16955 - Brake Switch (F): Implausible Signal - P0571
Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance.

This came on in my TDI when the brake pad wear sensor triggered.

The brake switch is well known for failing, not necessarily in A2s but certainly in many other VAG models.
It is quite easy to change yourself with a minimum of tools in about 30 minutes.
Don't know what the cost of a new pedal switch is but it won't be that expensive.
Cheers,

Over the weekend I tried the fluid level and the brake pad wear and both were fine so I still stuck!
I replaced the brake light switch a few weeks ago and all seemed fine so I thought for the sake of £6 I would get another one to see if I had got a faulty one as according to the guy at VW they have had loads of problems with them.
The one I bought a few weeks ago was black (1J0 945 511 A)but the one I bought on saturday was the latest spec green type (1C0 945 511 A). I will fit it later as its not raining and let you know the results.
If it doesnt solve it then I have no idea what to do next!!

Just changed the switch and the light still comes on as soon as you start the car.
I feel an expensive trip to the dealer coming on.......
