Well (and thanks to TDiMan for screw advice) - Went to fit the Audi Ipod adaptor on Friday.
5 Screws to remove glovebox all easily found, stereo out with 2 x Victorinox Swissarmy small blades (yeah got 2 of them!!!) wiring easy with Audi diagram thread and secure cables, small hole into Glovebox and all fixed back into place within 1 hour.
SO now Ipod available - functionality is fine for me, as all I wanted was more sounds, so lack of track info etc wasnt a problem.
Parts obtained from http://www.audi-accessories.co.uk/ who were very helpful.
