Alu handbrake cap fitting?

Just a quick question, i want to change my handbrake Alu cap do they just pull out? or do i need to take anything else apart before i do this?

Handbrake grip needs to removed first, twist slightly and pull like hell!

No, no, no!

There is a small catch underneath the handbrake, just behind the aluminium trim ring at the back of the leather section.

Press this in with a cocktail stick or similar, and pull the leather forwards at the same time.

You do not need to use any kind of force to dismantle the handbrake.
