View Full Version : Sometimes it's hard not to be prejudiced

I've always been prod of not being prejudiced. I don't do prejudice and I always make sure not to think too hard about 'who?', 'how?' or 'when?' but instead challenge 'why?'. Why is the root of all answers in life, not who, how or when.

So it is with much dismay that I see the same old trollop rattled out about pikey's and I have a general dismay and distrust for anything that can be called remotely 'Daily Fascist (Mail)'. I have no issue with the travelling community and used to live near a managed site that was never any trouble to anybody.

This lot turned up yesterday, taking over half of the car park at work. No problem to me and when coming back from a site visit I parked my car in the spaces left alongside the camp. You can see ULP just behind the tree, centre picture.

So, imagine my dismay when returning to my car last night to find something smeared on the side. From the size of the fingers responsible it was clearly a child and, I can assure you, that despite appearances the smell clearly tells me it is not chocolate.

I don't blame the kids, they looked about 2-3ish but I do blame their scummy parents for having no respect for other people's property, seemingly wilfully causing conflict rather than trying to engage with other people in society.

I'm working today and had I got in a bit earlier, the temptation to 'crimp one out' on the step to a caravan would have been too much.

Shame, I was in a cycle shop this week when two kids came in asking for a simple repair to their bikes, the shop owner asked why they were not in school to which they replied "Dad is too drunk to take us to school" this is at 9am on a Monday. Some people don't deserve kids.

sorry to see that happening to your car

Hopefully their are no scratches

Unfortunately when you'r not sure who did it, it is no allowed to call names or even point the finger

So lets not start a row here about this

Chris, you should do my job, working on the Jeremy Kyle Show - makes you realise just what a good life you have and that perhaps eugenics wasn't that bad an idea after all! (only kidding).

At the rate they're breeding, I'm glad I won't be here in 60 years or so. At least you are doing your bit to redress the imbalance.

Cheers,

Mike

Oh dear, sorry about that. I don't think I would have dared to park at this particular lot. A cab ride to work that day would have put my mind at ease.

Hi Chris,

Really sorry to hear and see that you have been subjected to disrespect of your A2. I agree with Xiter, and think that I would have found an alternative parking place; though to be fair to you, a) why should you have to? and b) I'll bet there is actually no alternative.

I, like most of us have had a good up bringing and I intend to instil the same mentality of right and wrong in my daughters development. Such a shame that everyone else can't be bothered to do the same.

Pressure wash and some rubber gloves me thinks!!:(

Cheers,

Darren

Unfortunately I used to live near a managed site also. I have a slightly different opinion and hope that the car park opens up under the scum and deposits them straight into hell. I have nothing good to say about the modern travelling community. I grew up near traveller sites, but things have changed and we as the gneral public have no rights anymore :(
