Remote Central Locking

Hi, i've just bought an audi A2 but the central locking key doesn't work and if i just use the key in the door when i open the door the alarm goes off!
Anyone know if i'm doing something wrong or how much it could be to get the key fixed. (Its not the battery as i have changed it!)

Hi Linzlad, welcome to the A2oc

The ke probably just needs recoding - see link for more info
Sometimes this happens if the main battery in the boot has been disconnected. Also, when replacing the key fob battery you only get a short time to insert the new battery before the code is lost.
