1.6 FSi Misfire

Hi,

Am new to the A2, just purchased a 2003 1.6 FSi, which has been sat around in dealer for last 4 months. problem at present is apparent misfire, at slow speeds when warmed up. Spoke to local audi dealer, no help at all. Could this be due to long period of not using? Any ideas for cause or solution please? Cheers.

Hello and welcome Andy.

It could be due to a long period of inactivity, but it sounds rather more like a known FSi problem - coil packs.

Get them changed by the dealer (they are covered by a separate 5 year warranty) and hopefully this will solve the problems.
