Sebring stainless steel backboxes for sale.
We are the UK importers for Sebring exhausts and have four performance back boxes for sale.
They are stainless steel and lifetime guaranteed.
Suitable for the diesel and petrol models.
Twin round 76mm tailpipes.
They were delivered to us in error by Sebring so we are selling them at cost rather than shipping them back to Austria.
Retail price is usually £275 (inc vat and delivery), we are selling them for £120

Would my 1.6FSI benefit from this modification??? I noticed that the backbox is really designed for 1.4 petrol and diesel A2s so not sure if this is what I need.

Would this need any modification to the bumper?
Might be best to contact them here -

Hi GordR your best bet is to contact them directly either by email or telephone. There should be one left as I was the one who reserved one but had to back out from buying (missus wouldn't let me spend anymore doh on me car:( ) Also, who are the other two who bought these? I'd like to see some pictures if possible. :)

I bought one. I must say I was a little disappointed as it's painted black. I was expecting a bright SS finish. Still, I bought it on the basis the price was roughly equivalent to a steel one.
I can't photo it as it's still in polythene wrapping and my only digital camera is a poor mobile one. Also, I'm not unwrapping it soon as I intend keeping it until the original goes.

2. Sebring with modified rear part (partly integrated into rear skirt, i.e. lifted and slightly shortened pipe end)
Sound improvement of the Sebring and the Remus equivalent for petrol isn’t very fertile unfortunately, for Diesels almost not noticeable. The BN-Pipes unit’s sound improvement in contrast is much better for 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines.
Combining the Sebring or the Remus with diesels will require frequent cleaning! ;)

Thanks for the reply guys, I think it looks quite nice especially with the modified bumper. Maybe one day...

Does anyone know if an exhaust trim be attatched to the pipe? I've seen a member have one taken from a Jag and attached but any other options?

Again a few samples of exhaust pipe ends, this time stainless steel exhaust trims fitted to A2.
The first trim has been welded onto the existing exhaust pipe (better than hose clamp solution), which has been cut down to the straight section. The owner – a 1.4 diesel driver - has chosen a slightly down-bent trim to avoid permanent cleaning of the rear.

Hi there - love the look of the exhaust - did the rear bumper require modification to fit and did it sound any sportier than the quiet original. I would like to fit to my 1.4 petrol when the time is right

Hi,
the non-modified Sebring or Remus does not need rear bumper modifications as it competely hangs below it. So these aftermarket sport exhausts are an instant replacement for the stock exhaust. However, it seems that most A2 folks do not like that non-(into bumper)-integrated appearance over here.
As for fruitier exhaust sound of the SEBRING or the very similar Remus, please check out post # 13. So If you want a satisfying sound improvement of the 1.4 or 1.6 petrol engine, you should check out this thread where sound samples for all A2 engines are listed:

Personally I’ve given up looking for a high quality aftermarket exhaust since there’s no satisfying sound improvement achievable for our small diesels.
