Windscreen wiper

My windscreen wiper makes a loud clunking noise as if it were hitting the edge of the windscreen/mainframe although it doesn't appear to be doing so. Anyone else have this problem or any ideas on how to fix it?

Mine did this before I changed the blade, doesn't do it anymore.

Hi jayc530, a couple of things could have happend,1 check that wiper securing screws (two of them ) have not worked loose? 2 if they have you will need to re set them by parking them in normal park position: at the base of windscreen there should be a space of approx 20 mm or 1" between outer edge of wiper blade and edge of bonnet!, if this distance is greater than stated your wiper blade will hit against A pillar on upward stroke, hope this will be of some help, cheers Alan.
