Another post about noises on the A2 I'm afraid. I have hunted through the forums to see if I can find something which sounds familiar to my annoying noise but to no avail. I'm here more to vent my annoyance then to ask for assistance! However, I may as well ask whilst I'm here.

The noise happens from when the engine is cold, not eally noticed it after its been driven, and it sounds to me like tinny metal rattling on some other metal. You cannot notice it from the outside of the cabin but inside its noisy around the 1600-1900 revs area.

thanks, Damien

Hi Damien
Check out the attached link. It covers various rattles but my best guess would be the fuel pipes referenced on page 2. Let us know how you get on.

Also check out the last post on this link

Thanks Spike,

I had read the post about the fuel pipes before and thought this might be the problem, but having checked the fittings it all looks fine under there, if it means changing the pipes I'll just live with the noise. Not sure what the EGR value is, any chance someone could tell me what it looks like and where it is? Although I like cars and have an aspiration to be able to do up an old car I'm not really that mechanically minded, hence the request.

Thanks

Damien
