I bought a used set of these from ebay last week. They arrived and are in good nick with just one or two rust spots on the front springs.
I phoned my insurer "Budget" and guess what? They wont allow me to fit them as an aftermarket modification. I've only just renewed my insurance and would get hammered for a renewal and upgrade so as the wife is also unhappy about my 'tweaks' I've decided to resell them . they are on offer here first as i think some members may be inereted in doing what schnelletrecker suggested sometime ago and use these with stcok springs...

PM me if you are interested i bought them for £103 plus £30 p+p

Also i decided to check with budget to see if they'd let me have SATNAV and they also said no to that!! Have any members experienced this issue with regard to the sat nav retro fitting??:(

Shocks and springs will be on ebay from early next week...

Kind regards

PaulC

PS this is a genuine post and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them!!

What car are they for, TDI, petrol? Next time its probably best not to say anything. An insurer assessor would not be able to tell that they're not the original ones once they've got a bit of oil and dirt on them. Satnav is a bit different. Try people like Adrian Flux who deal with non standard cars, they won't charge you more for upgraded suspension as they see it as you improving the handling, even if it doesn't always do that.

The sat nat should not make a difference provding your audio cover is high enough to cover the cost of replacement (my limit is £750). I checked with our insurer egg and they said it was fine as was any genuine audi part ment for the A2 including the body kit.
