Ok does anyone know what the 90bhp A2 has got to make it more powerful than the 75bhp A2.
I know when i had my old Bora 90bhp tdi few years back all i had to do was fit the 110bhp bora/golf injectors and that was the difference between both cars.
so just wondering if that is the case with these too engines.

There's a different turbo in the 90 - a variable vane jobbie.
Also, the manifolds are different, as are the gearboxes and numerous other smaller changes.

Not sure about that. When VAG first introduced the now ubiquitous 1896cc TDI engine in 1994 there were two versions - 90bhp and 110bhp. The less powerful one had a fixed-vane turbocharger and the more powerful one had a variable-vane turbocharger and higher pressure injectors.
I know VAG did some fiddling with the tune over the years (the later 100 and 105bhp models were variable-vane turbo's which I think did require 'simple' injector replacement) but I am pretty sure the 90bhp TDI could not be made into the 110bhp TDI without a replacement turbo.
Essentially, the differences between the 75 and 90bhp A2 1.4TDI engines are the same as the 90 and 100/105/110/115bhp 1.9TDI engines and therefore not interchangable
