radio buzz/humming!!

:confused: when i have my climate control on my am radio reception hums with really hihg pitched squealing. it is low volume and in the background of the radio broadcast. when i turn the econ button on it goes off so i reckon it must be something to do with the climate . Only problem is my car is 2 weeks out of warranty. any suggestions or comments gratefully accepted

I know its no consolation but many other members seem to find the AM reception is poor - see link

As the car is only 2 weeks out of warranty and radio reception is not a 'wear and tear' item, it could still be worth talking to your dealer.
