I want to incloude that the final piece of the exhasut is more light too, about 35% than the iron piece.

We did some work on aluminium exhausts back in the late 90's using the special seam welded aluminium tubes for hydroforming we made. The developments concentrated on the mid / rear section and for diesels only due to the temperature of the exhaust gases being to high for the metal. Yes there is weight saving but the costs were too high. But things change over time.
