Afternoon all,

Just wanted to see if anyone has an RNS-D installed in their A2. I installed mine a while back now and i'm wanting to add a cd changer and/or Ipod connection. Is the 10 pin connector a standard thing? Anyone know where I can get hold of one. I might just seen if I can fashion my own cable. Also, has anyone got some sort of video signal fed to their nav plus? I've heard of Nexxtel and Dietz but not managed to actually find anything. Any links to parts or advice would be a great help. Cheers.

Hi Holly

I retrofitted the RNS-D sat nav and boot mounted CD changer and found the changer cable was pre installed - after buying one at great expense!!!
There is some info in one of the fitting guides on video signal feeds in the attached link. It's 4.5 meg so be patient while downloading it

Cheers Spike.

I used this guide to retro fit my RNS-D also. Unfortuantely mine didn't come with the cable needed. I found this site http://www.auto-connect.co.uk/acatalog/Audi.html - But not quite sure if any of that is what I need. I'm intruiged to know that the boxes do. Surely, you're able to just feed a signal into the socket and change to the aux mode to listen. Am thinking i'll just try and bodge my own cable.

Anyone that has tried to add anything to their RNS-D?

Ah ha, it seems as though i've remembered my Sat Nav wrong. CD changer is the blue block (or in my case, those set of pins in that portion of the single coloured block), so will have to investigate that. However, line in is still achieved through the 10-pin? Or Video signal is at least any way?

Also, I don't think i've connected my Gala cable to the right one behind the dash. Does it's position vary on different models for any reason? What ever i've connected it to, it doesn't seem to be affecting it in any way haha.
