As most of you know by now I have the registration A2 ONA for sale. Don't tell me there is not a single A2 OWNER out there who thinks this plate would look good on their AUDI. Surely the very fact someone is driving an A2, it would point to the fact that they own it.

They may be borrowing it, I suppose, from someone else. In that case A2 ONA would not be appropriate.

You don't by any chance have A2 DRVA?

Sorry to add to the generally negative feedback but, personally, I would not pay money for that either. However, I am sure someone will sometime.

I'm not really into private plates - but I've always fancied getting my hands on P155 OFF - if any body ever comes across it!!

I've mailed the seller tonight:

You did ask for offers and even though they are low, you did get them!

A2 plates are 10-a-penny from the DVLA, so it’s not as if you had a limited commodity on your hands.

Just because no-one took you up doesn’t mean you should take the usual stance of ‘I’m better than you, as I drive an A3/A4/A6/A8’ etc. What you clearly fail to realise is that your car will rust and was stamped out from stell blanks in Hungary. The A2 being completely aluminium will never rust and was hand made in Germany by the same skilled workers who made the A8. We pay only £35 a year for road tax and will be exempt from the London Congestion Charge from next year and because of this, certain A2s are actually appreciating in value. Our cars are as fast as the A4 and are better handling and more economic with fuel too. We can also carry more bulky items than even an Avant (try getting a dishwasher and tumble dryer in an Avant together!).

So, I’m sorry you didn’t get what you wanted – a sale. It does make me wonder when a new member pops up only to flog something – are they a trader or just an opportunist?

It is almost as bad as ticket touting. Buying up numberplates from the DVLA with the intention of selling them on to people who weren't there in time to put their offer in.
