Hi all, it's been a while.
Our twins are 13 months old and the last year has been a roller coaster to say the least.
Anyway, I've been putting off what now seems the inevitable for the best part of a year.
We've outgrown the A2 and need something bigger. Believe me, this is a very reluctant sale, if there was any alternative, I'd keep this A2.
The car is currently on a cherished plate but will be registered on a 54 plate being first registered on 5th September 2004.
I factory ordered the car and in addition to the standard spec I specified the following factory fitted options:
Metallic paint (silver)
Climate control
Leather/alcantara
Concert CD
Front fog lights
It also benefits from:
Cruise control
HID headlights
The mileage is a genuine 21,300 miles from new with one owner/driver (me). Full supplying main dealer service history (1 service last year @ 18k). It's hardly been used this year.
The overall condition is concours!!! It has been garaged every night and when not used.
Put it this way, this is the closest you will get to a new condition used car.
I have hand washed the A2 at least once a week, it's been wax polished every couple of months. The wheels have been washed every 2 - 3 days and have been off the car every couple of months for a thorough clean and polish. The tyres are the factory original Pirelli P zero nero. The fronts have 6mm tread depth and the rears have 5mm.
The A2 is finished in Metallic silver with light grey leather/alcantara sports seats. The top of the dash is black and the lower section is light grey. The door cards and trim are light grey. The carpets are light grey. These have been fitted with a combination of at least two layers of original A2 fitted overmats from new (one carpet set, one rubber set). The boot again is unmarked having had the carpet covered from new. The majority of the mileage has been covered with just me in the car. It has never been smoked in, (the cigarette lighter and ashtray are still brand new) eaten in and pets are out of the question. The interior still smells brand new!!!
The 9 spoke Sport alloy wheels are unmarked, by that I mean they are factory original, they have never been damaged and have never been near a kerb.
I have the original sales invoice, (was it really that much?) sales brochure and price list, complete bookpack folder with owners handbook, service book, Concert CD owners manual with security code etc. Two key-fobs (one is brand new having never been used). The original safety triangle and first aid kit and oil bottle holder are present in the boot.
This car seriously turns heads.
This car has been my pride and joy. I'm as enthusiastic about the A2 now as I was back in 2001 when I bought my first one. Ideally I would like it to go to a fellow enthusiast who would appreciate it for what it is.
Prior to any sale the car will undergo a supplying main dealer pre end of warranty check up. I will have it MOT'd for 12 months at the same time (earliest I can do this is 8th August) and will tax it for 12 months.
