Okay, not off topic, but not A2, but still Audi.

Had the awesome privilege of being a passenger in an A5 3.0TDi Quattro Coupe this weekend (not in the UK) and this one has been chipped up to the hilt..

Check these stats

The new S5 pushes 365BHP and around 440ibs/ft of torque.

This A5 after chipping - 360BHP (that's up from 240BHP, approx 50% increase) and a massive 675ibs/ft of torque that is about 35% increase).

The suspension has been doctored too. It may not have the same aggressive look of the new S5 (though it did have some sort of weird kit on it) but this car can kick some serious butt..... and was hitting 0-160Kmh in like 10secs with two of us in the car plus shopping.

AND I WANT FOR XMAS... Santa, are you listening..

I saw a black S5 on Friday and until then had not liked the wavy swage line down the side (it looked more BMW than Audi), but this thing was gorgeous. Add this to the fact I was followed home by a black RS4 Avant  and the day before had seen a black R8 in Hereford all I can say is please can I win a fortune!

I've seen a couple on the road, and a few at Hitchin Audi and I have to say it looks rubbish to me - the lines don't flow, they intersect the natural shape of a coupe making it appear like a cut' 'n' shut job, the headlights look like afterthoughts and the rear lights have been nicked from a 2001 Seat Toledo. The forthcoming A5 Sportback looks even worse, mind.

The only thing it has is presence; Pol Pot had plenty of that too...

Hopefully the new A4 will look better-proportioned.

One thing I have noticed about the A5 is the new alloy wheels that Audi advertise it with. I can only describe them as 'wavy double spoke' but you'll know what I mean if you see them. Quite fancy having them on my A2 (if they fit) and I am waiting to see if they will become available. Probably a few quid though!

Scrap that idea. I just checked and the wheels I was thinking of are 9.5J x 19" 5 spoke Y design and at least £1300. However the standard A5 wheels which are 7.5J x 17" 7 spoke aren't bad either...
