my light is having sporadic fits, one time its on then when i start engine next time its gone off. anyone know whats going on?

Hi Linzlad
If it's a petrol engine then it may be one of the lambda sensors playing up. Ideally you need an Audi or Vagcom diagnostic check to pinpoint the problem.
