Hi Four Rings
If your Chorus tape player has a CD function button then you should be able to add a CD changer. The Audi boot mounted unit is very expensive to fit as a new boot side trim and changer mounting bracket are required. A new CD changer plus these parts will cost over £400.
I think all Concert units with single CD changer were only introduced when the vehicle electrics changed to full can bus systems sometime in 2002. You can fit one of these Series2 concert units to an earlier car but you will need a can bus emulator to make it work. This has been covered in previous posts. Be aware that many of the radio units sold on e.bay supposedly fit all Audi models but this is generally not the case. Check for part numbers starting with 8Z0 to ensure they will fit an A2

If you'r interested, we have a CD changer fitting gide on the forum - see link

Sorry, I have not done the conversion myself so can't answer all your questions. I did a search for ..emulator.. and came up with the following thread which may help. You could also try a search for ..concert.. to see what else comes up
