Hi,
Thanks for the info on chipping, while i'm here can anyone tell the location of the fuel filter on a '53' plate 1.4tdi sport 75? I have carried out all other aspects of the service but stumped on this. Probably me being blind!!!!!

It's behind a piece of silver corrugated heat shielding, near the rear offside wheel, which is not that logical until you remember that's where the tank is!
Cheers,
Mike

Let me know your VIN number and I'll see what ETKA says.
You can post it here, as it's on public view in your windscreen anyway, so isn't 'sensitive' info and it'll probably be of use to others as well.
Cheers,
Mike

If you have the early fuel filter there is some helpful info on disconnecting the fuel pipes on the attached thread. The filter element is held in place by a spring clip but its not worth trying to remove the element without taking off the whole filter head assembly and doing the work on the bench.
