According to Poole Accident Repair specialist there are five specialist aluminium repair facilities in the UK. That's better than the 2 I had heard previously. Nether-the-less, I hope I don't have to use them!

I am so lucky that I have an aluminium specialist VAG group centre only about 5 miles from me - Tank is going in on Monday for a pair of new doors (it was meant to have been Monday gone, but they had no courtesy vehicle for me, and as it's a 4 day job, I needed one).

Over the years, they have been extremely useful and although they've never been used in anger (for ally panels), I am nevertheless, re-assured by their proximity should anything happen.

Perhaps folks could add the names of the possible other aluminium repairers so that we can all know where our nearest is.....
