Hi,

Just noticed one of my dipped headlights have gone so i've brought one from shell this evening and its a OSRAM H7 - 12V - 55W - Type 2 bulb. (blue and orange package)

The diference all I can see is that there is a ledge (1mm) or so on the first section of metel under the glass bulb.

Is this bulb okay to fit?

Yes, it's fine.

The type 2 business refers to Osrams attempt to re-classify bulb types, so instead of H1, H3, H4, H7, you'd have Type1, 2, 3 & 4.

Why they have to re-invent the accepted way of naming bulbs I don't know (they probably think that a lack of H2 and H5 etc causes confusion!).

Cheers,

Mike
