How do you know if it is chipped

Hi..

Just wondering that silver box that is in the passenger footwell, is that a chip box you get when you have you're car chipped or is that box in everyones car.

If you mean the large flat silver box below the black plastic one, then everyone has one of those - it is the engine ECU!

It is the insides of this that are modified when you have a remap applied to the car, although you won't see any difference from the outside.
