I've noticed that there a few A2 owners that have bracked phone holder, thought this might help..
Any thoughts.

Just thought I'd mention that A2OC members can get this at trade price - look at:

Or you can go to Carphone Warehouse and buy a thin sliver of metal for the back of your phone and a tiny magnet fixed next to the gearlever for £4-99!!! See link in my signature... this option leaves the car totally uncluttered when you're not plugging the phone in/not using it... as the magnet is black you hardly notice it.

Hi Again Johann
I have just been looking at your signiture link and I was wondering how you go about moving the tools to the drivers underfloor storage compartment ?
I can't quite make out what you now have in place of the tools and where did you move the amplifier to. My car doesn't have the BOSE system but still has the amplifier ??
Thanks

I have to admit - that Dashmount thing is a bit expensive for what it is!

But it works great (I have the dashmount for the airvents), and is installable and removable without dilling holes....
Bye, Frido.

RTV - is is all standard as I got my car... most of the rear lowest floor is now where the BOSE amp lives - it is MASSIVE. Everything below the battery and all the way up the jack on the right is amp as well as from the bottom all the way up to the empty sat-nav box... so it is HUGE and I bet heavy too... but for the sound it makes it is well worth it. Brilliant sound.
Thus all the rest of the stuff I imagine you have in the back next to the battery is now living under the driver's feet in my car: foam kit, compressor, security bolt thinghy, screwdriver etc etc... I did not order change any of this myself. It came like that.

I made my own - out of WOOD! Yep thats right. I found that if you inserted a piece of wood under the CC unit (where you can store items against the left hand end), cut the end of the wood at an angle and then mount the phone holder to it. It works a treat and doesn't get in the way of the gear lever. You can't even see the wood and although the buttons on the left of the CC unit are hidden (econ etc) I don't find this a problem.

Pics with the phone attached in my sig...
Stuart also very kindly added more pictures of the BOSE amp to my signature that are clearer than before I hope!
One shows the amp better, the next shows the sticker on the amp telling you that your tools now live under the passenger footwell!!! Hmmm Until you reaslise that is the case for LHD cars... RHD it is under the driver's feet. Last two pics show this tool position open and closed.
