Windscreen replacement

Has anyone had a windscreen changed? Ours is booked in tomorrow 9collected a chip three weeks ago and crack is now 12" long (long live feet & inches).

Is there anything to watch out for when we collect the car?

I had the windscreen replaced just before christmas by a mobile unit of AutoGlass,

It glass took a while to come out as they had to cut the bounding compound, SO Id check for cuts around the window and dashboard...

Also due to the size of the screen check for body work damage at the lower corners of the screen (wings) I have a little nic now :(..

We had it done front and back front took a couple of hours at the audi garage back took a couple of weeks all done without any diffuculties.

Windscreen done (Autoglass) - only problem was they didn't open at their advertised (and booked) time of 08:00. Man eventually appeared to open up at 08:20. Got our own back as we were late back to collect it and he was waiting for us so he could go home!

No problems and no visible nicks, cannot even see any signs of the wiper and plastic mouldings being off.
