Afternoon all.

Just a quick note to say our firstborn came into the world at 1723hrs on Saturday 16 February 2008, weighing 8lbs 6oz, perfect in every way.

Mother and baby doing fantastically, and both looking forward to a ride home in Stubby.

Yes, congratulations indeed!

3 babies announced to A2OC members this year and all 3 in the 8.25 - 8.5 pound mark - curious!

Hope you are planning on keeping the A2 still.

Cheers,

Mike

Just like the A2 - a sensible weight but plenty big enough!

Congratulations Andy & Family

Thank you all.

Coudn't agree with you more MPG Lover. He has a slightly more shrill engine note, and I'm sure there's a punchline somewhere about emissions :)

Darren and Smick. Sincere thanks for your thoughts and words.

Mike, your lack of faith is most disturbing. I bought Stubby just after we got pregnant (that's Evey and I, not me and Mike) for exactly for this reason. Babies are sensitive little souls and as a parent I have to shoulder a new responsibility. Think of the damage I could do to the poor mite if I dragged him around behind a lesser marque! I can't stretch to an A8, and as a big fan of the environment (and wallet) I've never owned a vehicle that wasn't aluminium framed. Admittedly, the predecessors were all bicycles, but the thought holds :)

(Actually, my current bicycle is carbon / aluminium, but the 2mm flex on the forks does a very passable impression of the travel on my 17" Sports. Particularly if the bike's tyres are flat.)

Anyway, Stubby's here to get Evey and Tedward wherever they need to go, or (at a push) to take me anywhere that's too cold, far away, or uphill to cycle to. :)

Phew!!! 8lbs 6oz - that is a good size! Congratulations to mum and baby!

But let's not forget us Dads eh!??!?? We all deserve a good pat on the back too. Without us none of these tiny miracles would happen!

Just don't overdo it Dad - I can assure you that 2 weeks on, our latest arrival is taking her toll on me, I even stopped drinking beer for 3 nights due to exhaustion....... and they (you know who you are) say labour is hard!

On the bicycle front, I announced to my wife this time last week that I was off to collect my latest arrival - a Genesis singlespeed bike from Southampton, weighing in at a very healthy 24lbs...... nice!
